Tour Itinerary

09:30 You will be picked up from your hotel in Cappadocia for Full Day tour of Ihlara Valley and Derinkuyu Underground City. You will meet with your tour guide and the other tour participants.Then start to tour by visiting Derinkuyu Underground City, where we explore the huge refugee settlement carved by early Christians to hide themselves from persecutors. It is the largest one in the area with its 7 levels and 65 meters depth.The air-condition chimneys and defence systems used in these caves are incredible. Then we continue to the beautiful Ihlara Valley ,which was formed after the volcanic erosions and eroded by rain.This canyon was settled by Christians for 500 years between 5th and 10th century. Afterwards we have a lunch in local restaurant. Then we explore the famous rock –cut churches and hike 4 km through the valley. On the way back, we visit the monasteries in Selime Village and Agzikarahan Caravanserai which is one of the caravanseraies built by Seljuk Turk’s in 13th century on the silk road.
17:00 We drop you off at your hotel after the tour.
