Eight days was sweet spot for this itinerary. Perfect pace.

Hagia Sophia architecture was mind boggling. How do you convert between different religions while preserving both Christian and Islamic elements? Turkish bath experience was initially intimidating but became surprisingly relaxing once I stopped worrying about modesty.

Pottery workshop master was 70 years old and still working daily. His hands moved like magic shaping clay.

Eight days allowed discovering hidden gems locals recommended. Tiny restaurant in Cappadocia served best lentil soup of my life. Owner remembered my vegetarian dietary needs throughout stay and prepared special dishes not on regular menu.

Ephesus marble road still had grooves from ancient chariot wheels. Standing where Romans walked 2000 years ago was surreal.
