Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar): Your first destination is one of Istanbul’s most colorful and aromatic spots—the Spice Bazaar. Built in the 17th century, this marketplace remains a vibrant hub where you can explore stalls of spices, Turkish delights, teas, and local handicrafts. Your guide will share stories about the history and significance of the bazaar, and you’ll have time to browse and shop.
Walk to Eminönü Pier & Embark on the Bosphorus Cruise: After the bazaar visit, enjoy a short stroll to the pier. You’ll board a comfortable boat for a scenic cruise along the Bosphorus Strait—the natural waterway that separates Europe and Asia.
Tour Highlights:
- Dolmabahçe Palace: Witness the European-style elegance of this late Ottoman imperial residence, shimmering on the European shore of the Bosphorus.
- Çırağan Palace: Once a sultan’s palace, now a five-star hotel, this waterfront landmark displays Ottoman grandeur with intricate architecture.
- Ortaköy Mosque: Nestled beneath the Bosphorus Bridge, this 19th-century mosque is famed for its picturesque location and neo-Baroque design.
- Beylerbeyi Palace: Explore from the water this elegant palace on the Asian side, historically used to host foreign dignitaries and royalty.
- Küçüksu Pavilion: This smaller yet equally stunning royal hunting lodge sits along the Asian shore, showcasing rich architectural details.
- Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge: As the boat sails north, you’ll pass under the second bridge connecting two continents—a symbol of modern Istanbul.
- Ottoman Yalı Mansions: View the beautifully preserved wooden mansions that once belonged to Ottoman elites, dotting the shoreline with historical charm.
End of Tour & Drop-off (12:30 – 12:45): After cruising up to the Second Bosphorus Bridge and returning toward the port, you’ll disembark and be dropped off at Sultanahmet Square. Please note: hotel drop-off is not included in this tour.
